Methods of early education are very important, when the child's brain is not fully developed, its capabilities seem to be infinite, but very vulnerable. There are currently many methods and materials about early education in the world, to help parents can perform early education at home, we would like to give some simple guidelines, methods which are easy to implement.

Of course, the talent of each child is different, but this difference was not much, just with normal qualities, if the child is educated properly, he can become extraordinary man.The importance of early education has been proven by various studies of educators and scientists in all fields including medicine, psychology, neurology and biology. Educational researchers around the world have jointly agreed that the brain would soon be formed, evolved from the early years when the child was a foetus in the womb and develop most strongly in the first 0-6 years. Early education has flourished in Western developed countries since the 19th century and spread to Asia in the 20th and 21th century. In 1980, the UN held a conference on studying Early Education globally, first for children aged 0-6 years.

So Jewish parents over many generations always appreciate the development of potential and innate endowments and think that children aged  0-6 years have the fastest development of brains, children can absorb knowledge most easily, early education is to develop the potential, to set a sound foundation for the future. They are always interested in teaching many languages for children, rousing their young to be interest in learning, understanding knowledge of the world around themself.

Since 1965 in the US, federal funds has began sponsoring "The Head Start" and focused on age 3 to 5. In 1995, the US government has decided to launch "The Early Head Start Program" for children aged 0 to 3 years. President Obama has soon realized the important role of education in the early years in human success. He has raised this matter before winning the Presidency at the annual conference of Democratic Party in September 2007, and has committed to increase spending for the program four-fold and in reality, this fund continues rising during two terms of Presidency. President Obama has directed the early education movement in the United States, he made a speech to propaganda on a campaign of early education "Invest in us" with an investment fund of up to 1 billion at the end of 2014. In his speech, President Obama has emphazied that the investment in early education is the wisest one, and the early education is a win for our young generations, is an opportunity to create success in the future. It is really true, investing in young generations is investing in our future.

In Japan, early education has been studied and applied for a long time by the famous educators such as Masaru Ibuka, Shichida ... India goverment was implementing a major investment program for early education. China has also  been implementing a program for 20 years to conquer the world on human potential through early education at age 0-6. In Vietnam, early education methods are also being studied by leading educatorsto put in use to create a young generations with high intellectuality in the future.

The human brain - infinite potential: Scientists have calculated that our brains contain a total of 160,934 km of equal blood cells and about 100 billion nerve neurons (when new born), which are equivalent to about 74,000 Pentum III computers connected to each other and working together (known as firmware). Famous scientists such as physicist Albert Einstein, the great poet Goethe, great painter Leonardo da Vinci and well-know composer Beethoven  are the greatest genius of all time in their field . But not because they have supernatural brains, they grasp the way to "untie" the brain's potential. While the normal person uses less than 1% ability of the brain throughout his life, as genius also uses only 3-5% of brain capacity. The intelligence of every person is not in the brain nervous system (hardware) but in the way our neurons are activated (software). Thus, the more links of neurons in a certain area, we become more and more intelligent, more sensitive in this field. Each neuron has about 5,000 connections, if making all connections of neurons, each of us will have a giant number of connection with number 1 at first and a long string of zero for 10 million km behind, in other words, the human intelligence is infinite.However neurons will die very quickly if they are not stimulated for usage and practice, it is like our muscles will shrink, if not being exercised regularly. To activate the connection of neurons in the child's brain, some methods are required. Thus, the most important thing here is how parents and schools will teach children, to develop their potential intellectuality and capabilities.

According to Benjamin Bloom (1913-1999) an educational psychologist, president of the US National Education Association in 1965-1966, said that at the age of 17, the human brain has fully developed 100%, while at age 8 the brain has developed about 80%, it grows to 50% at age 4. According to Dr. Montessori, by age 3, the brain completed 50% of the full human brain. Some scientists and other researches recently put erlier figures on the development and completion of the brain. Masaru Ibuka, the father of Sony Corporation, one of the most successful groups in the world, believed that until age 3 the human brain have completed 78-80%, intellectual capacity and foundation of personality are decided almost entirely in the period from 0-3 years old, and he called "appropriate period". The most common thing among psychologists and educators around the world is the 0-6 years period is the golden stage in educating children.According to Andrew Meltzofl - director of  Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences, "Children learn more things in the first 5 years than at any period in their lives."

 2. Methods of Early Education

Early education methods: Methods of Education for children aged 0-6 years are callede early education methods. There are so many education methods have been approached in Vietnam such as Carl Wester method - German , method of Phung Duc Toan - China, method of Shichida Mokoto -Japan, Glenn Doman method - American and method of Dr. Montessori-Italy and many other methods; The curriculum is being sold on Vietnamese websites such as: Signing Time and Baby Signing Time, Your Baby Can Read Dr. Robert Titzer, Tweedle Wink-Right Brain Kids, Baby Brain. It should be noted that, the Your Baby Can Read program - Dr. Robert Titzer (good kids can read) was prohibited and fined $180 million by Commission on Consumer Protection of United State.

Montessoriis a method to nurture children's love in learning and encourage the independence by providing an operating environment and appropriate materials so that children can use (learn) in their own way, with their own speed. This helps them to build self-confidence, inner discipline and create a sense of self-worth and to be imbrued with positive social behaviors, helping them to be motivated to actively study and develop their full endowments, as well as self-awareness in the community, for today and the future. This approach is the basis for producing people who are confident, independent, comprehensive developed and perceive the life with an attitude of respect and happiness, to create awareness, habits of life-long learning. Many countries, many scholars in the world consider it as the optimal method for children to "sons become dragon, daughters become phoenix".

Shichida methodis an educational way to nourish the soul, nurture love to everyone, cherish dreams and will. Using the "mental education", "moral education", "physical education" and "practical education" as the basis, aiming to educate the whole human personality and to develop the right brain. Shichida said that the educational development of the right brain is not just focusing on children's academic achievement, but one of its miraculous results is that all children are developing their mind gently and harmoniously, children will manifest diverse sensibilities such as compassion, imagination and creativity. It nourishes love, createsa unity of the senses (hearing, sight, tactile...) and the excellent cooperation between parents and children is very important. Early education and right brain development will shape the future of the world, because one of goals of education is to create a better world. This is the natural result of educating on development of the right brain, the learning method based on love and cooperation. In contrast, the "left-brain education is to create rivalry and competition" - Shichida. Shichida is who initiating the kind of education balancing the right brain and left brain, currently this method are very popular in Japan.

Characteristics of early education: basic characteristics of early education is to awaken potential and infinite capacity of men, fostering foundation of personality in the most strongly developing statge of intelligence (developing brain). The essence of early education is to give children an exciting life, but it must be properly stimulated and trained in order to improve basic qualities, not to accumulate knowledge and it is completely different from normal education. Children's learning is far different from adult learning, children shall remember information piece, one by one. Early education should be implemented as soon as the child is in the womb, the mother as the leader, the father should be involved with similar , simple and punctual works combined with reasonable nutrition (refer to fetus educational skills and reading “" Kindergarten is Too Late ”)

Basic principles of early education: When implementing early education for children, parents need to thoroughly understand some basic principles: 1. Do not think that early education is to train genius, to go to school early, early graduate or to accumulate knowledge; 2. Always make children feel enthusiatstic, bring out their passion; 3. Always respect and trust in children, always tell the truth, answer carefully and sincerely; 4. Only teaching when you and your child are healthy and in a jolly and appropriate environment . Teaching 2-3 times a day, each time should not be too long depending on child's age; 5. Stop teaching before they want to stop; 6. Regularly introduce new pictures, new materials; 7. there is arrangement and consistency in teaching children in kindergarten and at home, unifying teaching ways of other family members (instructing both grandparents and helpers (if any); 8. Always consider the life is a school, to teach the children in daily life; 9. in teaching do not test, not laugh when your children are wrong; 10. Prepare teaching aids carefully and thoughtfully.

2.1. Grasping a period of sensitive senses in children

The sensitivity period of the child is a special stage, helps children to be interested in things or activities, to be able to catch activities and realize objects quickly, as a light to inspire the babies accustom to the outside world without tireless, help children learn easily. Psychologists believe that this is the most appropriate period to educate children.

a. Developing taste

Taste of the child was formed since he is a fetus and it is very sharp after birth, everything we give, the child put in his mouth. Using taste is the first stage that children recognize objects and understand the outside world. In this stage, parents should pay attention, do not give children too small objects, let children play safe toys which can be put into their mouth. Let them drink fruits and taste different flavours (in principle of doing what you say). Playing with chilrend for taste games such as trying different flavours as lemon juice, orange juice, grape juice, apple juice, etc. acidity, salty, sweet, etc. from moderate to extreme level (acidity, salty, sweet, etc). This phase lasts until the child is 1-1.5 years old, after 1.5 years, the phenomena of sucking fingers, sucking bite objects will decrease significantly, because at that time the child starts to learn outside world by other senses as tactile.

b. Hearing development for children

The period between 0-2 years is a sensitive phase to develop hearing, during this period, training audition for the child will results in highly efficiency. 12 hours after birth, the child was able to react to sounds; till 3 months old,  infants have facial expressions such as rolling eyes, frowning, opening the mouth, waving hands or making sound when listening to the sound; to 4 months old they are able to hear adults talking in cheerfully and excitingly. Parents should observe a principle: say what you do with precise language, clear, speak in complete sentences, no spoonerism; creating a sound environment suitable in the room but not too quiet, not too noisy. Letting children play auditory games: Closing eyes and listening to the noise, discs recording bird signing, rushing water, rain, horns of cars, motorcycles, dragging chairs, etc. the children should hear 30 seconds each once, 2-3 times a day, then opening eyes and ask children what they listen to; Baroque music is good for children, can be heard relatively frequently; playing auditory games  together with children (mother and child have two same instruments, sitting back to back each instrument the mother plays, the child hear and play in accordance with such instrument as drums, bells, whistles, stainless spoons, etc. in order to the child can distinguish different sound types); play games of keeping quiet - let children practice keeping quiet in order to hear the sound of clock running on the wall (the game that children are very interested). Natural sounds are very useful for children. Do not let children wear headphones due to it is easily affect hearing negatively.

 c. Visual development for children

Eyesight is the most important sense for humans to recognize the world around them. The sight of a child basically developed while he was still in the womb. One month infants were able to see an object at distance of 20cm; 2 month old can accommodate sight in according to distance of the object; 3 month old can adjust eyes from a object to other and can recognize three colors red, yellow and green; at one year old can distinguish four colors as red, yellow, blue and green. Ages 0-5 years old is the sensitive period of visual development that parents should grasp to properly train to promote the development of the ability to concentrate, ability to observe, differentiate and visual capabilities of children. Parents should hang a few things around the bed in their children's vision. For a three-month-old child, parents should  hang around 60cm from his eyes, not hang in front of, it should be turned to the left, to the right a bit and changed the location to avoid squint eyes. Choose items with beautiful colors, the number of colors is not so much as mentioned above; Arranging appropriate environment for stimulation; Orientating for children looking by wearing colored clothing (in principle do what you say); Playing vision games together: To distinguish colors, toys are circular with various colors; To distinguish shapes, toys are blue, but have different thickness, thinness, shortness and long ness, large or small volume,  animal shaped biscuits and some pictures can be used.

d. Developing touch

People are born with two most precious things which are hands and minds, who can use both hands and brains are truly wonderful people. According to Mrs. Montessori, the hand is the best teacher for your child. From the third month, the child through touch understand the world around them. After one year, learning through the mouth begins decreasing, using hands will grow, and the period between 1-2 years is the fastest - growing stage of touch. During this period the child often throw objects, thus parents should orientate their babies, creating a safe environment for them discovering with objects satisfying children's learning.Play games with your children in closing their eyes and touch objects: fabrics, beads: hemp cloth, canvas, silk, chemical fiber cloth, nylon cloth, leather, sand, clay, wheat; touch panels such as wood paneling rough, smooth: "rough", "very rough", "sore hands" - "smooth", "slick". Sensation game of temperature: hot, quite hot, not hot, cold water cup, etc. Sensation game of weight: the wooden panels of the same size 6 x 8 x 0.5cm, but different weight: 12g, 18g, 24g, etc. Playing together with the children not only help them improve inspiration but also promote the function of tactile organs.

 

2.2. Grasping a sensitive period of language in children

Gaining language skills and applying that ability is an expression of the intellectual development in young children and it also forms the basis for social relationships in the future. According to Mrs. Maria Montessori, the sensitive period on language in children from two months after birth until the child aged 8 years. Learning another language is not easy for adults, but for children at this stage is not difficult, in the same period children can learn a few different languages. The period among 1-2 years old is a stage that oral language develops quickly in children, it is required parents to give children the appropriate stimulation of language, using many languages to bring out, creating an environment for your baby learning language school is ideal. a) Parents should talk to children more (according to the principles outlined in hearing development section ), for abstract languages should be combined with movement and images; b) Parents should give complex requirements (get things in the house) when the child is about 1.5 years old; c) Do not laugh when they get it wrong, do not focus on the downsides of their language; d) parents with children sing songs, read rhyme poems (many works are very good for language development); e) Let children play toy and encourage them to speak and describe the game, to create conditions for children communicating with more people and in open environment. Many children aged 3-4 years old still lisp, if the child who is over 5 year old remain lisping, it is necessary to find out reasons. If there is nothing special in the body, they need to be strengthened in training, modeling and patiently explainning, requiring children to pronounce correctly and encouraging children to practice more. When children monologize, parents should not interfere because it is common in children. Ever since childhood, parents should teach children to listen to others, because they often do what they think, not worry about what others are doing, thinking, when they understand the others, the dialogue can be participated favorably.

2.3. Understanding sensitive period of movement in children

After birth to 4 years old children are interested in activities. According to Dr. Maria Montessori, if during this period mastering a certain action, it will help the normal development of the nerve system and body, making a positive influence on the formation of personality in children. Babies usually like cattling, and then walking, gripping objects, for 4 years old children like closing eyes and touching to identify objects, the movements become more skillful, which help children develop the left brain and right brain in a balanced way. In contrast, lacking of exercise will lead to a lack of confidence and feeling dissatisfied in children's mind.

After one year old, children begin learning to walk, parents need to create a favorable environment for their babies practicing, remind them to pay attention at obstacles on the feet, if the children often fall or pain can lead to lack of confidence and becoming shy. Parents should train their children on endurance, flexibility and ingenuity, Children should be trained to voluntarily walk. From 1.5 to 3 years old children love to work, parents should create conditions for children working such as retrieving, storing items; cleaning, mopping, wiping his toys; clothing, wearing shoes, comb hair, feeding themselves ,etc parents may suggest, gently guide at the first time if necessary. These works for children 2-3 years old are the "great" actions , parents and relatives just watch their babies to achieve success on their own. When children make every kind of activity, it is unavoidable to cause disorder and disturbance in the home, parents should let children complete their job, and then remind them to clean up. In the period between 3-4 years old children develop in height, within one year the child can add 8 cm high, weighs more to 3 kg. Compared to other parts of the body, then the head is slightly smaller, causing the child to become more flexible, may move for a long time without fatigue. This is a critical period for children to learn motor skills, including skills is difficult, do not miss this critical period. 2.4. Grasping a sensitive period in children's order

Sensitive period of the order plays an important role in the process of forming the child's personality. Montessori said, "The order is a necessity of human life, when it's complete, people will have the right fun." The sensitive period of order began to appear from the age of 2 to 4 year-old. Susceptibility in order of children is a gift the Creator has bestowed, if the living environment prevents this, the child will express anxiety or insecurity, sometimes angry. When the sense of order are formed, it will turn into quality and be reflected in all aspects of life. When the order becomes a habit, then natural actions which become personality and characteristics of the child. They all started when children enter kindergarten, the children's sensitive period has just created basic characteristics and qualities of a human. So parents need to care for training habits of order and tidiness; should not overturn the order around them, satisfy the order of their children and create an orderly environment and orientate order such as self-cleaning order, arranging belongings, toys, setting space; fostering good feeling about the order at appropriate time, leting children expose different types of environment, giving children a sense of discipline consciousness as soon as possible. According to Mrs. Montessori, children aged 2 years need to be in collective life, parents should let children play games to find objects, care about the maturity of their soul to motivate and share timely. Parents need to foster children good habits such as such as sleep early, get up early, wash hands with soap after using the toilet, before and after eating, get things then put them into place, know queuing at schools, respecting the rules of the game, concessions, good behavior habits. When asking a child, parents should be clear, be patient, not to create psychological pressure, no hurry and should be indulgent towards bad habits of the young.

2.5. Grasping the sensitive  period of literacy in children

Mrs. Montessori said that is around 3-4 years old, children are interested in geometry, especially three-dimensional geometry, at the same time there is an explosion of writing and drawing. Children feel excited as each script has different shapes and tones, so literacy training for children at this stage have important implications. According to study results published in Japan, the children start learing literacy at age 5 , IQ 95, at age 4 reach IQ of 120, and  from 3 years old, IQ 130 (recent studies say that IQ not represents all intellectual capacity of a person, just the left brain's capacity ). However, parents need to pay attention on implementing principles of early teaching stated before, only to emphasize one thing that must base on the child's interest and not force. Thinkings of infants is figurative and memory of information pieces. So to remember and understand, letters, things and phenomena should be together; modeling corresponding verbs such as walk, run, push, open, look, laugh, cry, etc. ; parrent can teach letters through games and telling stories; should learn opposite words such as hot-cold, left-right, etc. Reading intellectual books likes movement for health, reading many books will help children to improve their reading skills, expand understanding, thinking is also developed. To foster the habit of reading, parents need to create harmonious atmosphere and environment for children such as scenery, lighting, places for storing books, selection of topics; tolerant with the first act of sabotage of the child as graffiti, tearing books. Keep in mind that, comparing to a cluttered environment, ruined books, the reading habit and passion for books is still more important. Of course children should be taught how to persevere love, protect and organize your books; Please take the time to read for and together with children, guide them to find answers in books to respond questions that they, their friends or invite your children to read the book to find the answer. The delicate works of hands are often in the period of about 4 years old, some children may be slower. Parents need to teach children hands' movements to be very flexible and deft; practise children how to hold a pen, instruct children to draw freely, connect points, connect to form images to create excitement, and teach children to imitate writing (use crayons, papers is not too thin, too slick, do from easy to difficult), always encouraging, motivating and not forcing.

2.6. Grasping sensitive period of culture in children

Ms Montessori pointed out that, the interest with culture learning takes shape from about 3 years old to 6-8 years old, at that time, the child appears strong wish to explore and learn things. In this stage, children are very interested in simulating and be capable of simulating what they see from the adults. So parents and those around them need to be good role models for children in gestures, actions and words; encourage and help children simulating; and pay timely attention to correct bad behaviors; Simulation capabilities in children is very good, but judgment power is very little, as a result there are improper imitated behaviors, so parents need to pay attention to help children to determine right and wrong, good and bad to build for themselves the judgment. To foster musical intelligence, parents should observe the child's sensitivity to sounds; the interest in music; can invite professional teachers to test children's musical talents; and can foster musical talent depending on age, for 0-2 years in consistent with fostering the ability to comprehend and sense of music; 2-3 years old is the period of consolidation and development, enhancing senses with rhythm; 3-4 years old is the critical period for fostering musical aptitude such as, performing piano, violin, etc. ; If the children have been immersed in music in early stages, then  at the age of 4-5 years old they are able to express musical talent.Painting is an important aspect of quality education for the young, at age 4-5 years, children start being sensitive to painting. Parents should protect their interest in painting, give a free space to them, freely run their imagination and draw what they want, encourage and praise children should put the babies to museums, art galleries, etc. to raise the interest in painting, and help children broaden their mind as well. When there is a certain art foundation, can let children participate in a number of competitions and art exchanges. Always remember that in the West, painting is considered as "science has no errors" and the drawing of children is "autonomous and most real opperation." Fostering children habits of exploring and learing by allowing children the freedom to explore in life, encourage children bravely explore, to answer their questions in a simple, clear, precise way and to help the child understand throughly; letting children expose to nature, society more and more and try adventurous challenges. Ages 3-4 years old is the critical period for the development of arithmetic talent in the school, parents should guide them aware of numbers; Children aged 3-4 years can know up to No. 5, children 4-5 years old can count up to the age of 10 and 5-6 can grasp up to No. 20; and  at the same time teaching children how to measure time, length, height, weight; for them to grasp the measure and the sense of space, such as shape, size, big, small, orientation; teach children learn fractions, such as distribuiting food, cake, etc. ; teaching children learn to estimate as much-less, small-large; training classified as vegetables, seafood, meat and arrang order such as grandparents, parents, etc. From young age, children had a certain aesthetic sense, to train aesthetics for children, parents need to indoctrinate children knowledge of beauty, to form aesthetic senses, gradually helping them complete aesthetic psychology structure, manifested in two aspects: the ability to feel the beauty and creativity of beauty. Teaching beauty is an important component of the education on comprehensive qualities. The nature of early education is not to produce infant prodigies, which is to give children a fully enjoyable life.
